Cargo traffic carried on the Danube has grown from year to year, facilitating the transport of large quantities between Constanta and countries of eastern and central Europe, like Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Austria, Germany. Also through the Danube can transport goods from Constanta to Rotterdam using the channel Rhine-Main.
