VGM or Container Weighing Mandatory !

Starting July 1, 2016 – on board date containers, according to the Safety of Life at Sea, – SOLAS Convention, exporters must perform weighing of export containers.

VGM (Verified Gross Mass) is the responsibility of shipper / exporter.

The exporter organize weighing of container or require verification gross weight (VGM) in terminal.

The actual weight of goods must comply with the stated on the shipping documents (Customs Declaration + CMR). The exporter must present weighing ticket before performing customs formalities.
